About

This Web site was created in January of 2007 with the idea of being a resource for all seeking information about Col. John Allan.  Since then, it has also become a virtual meeting place for descendants.

Short-Term Goals:

1.  Plan a "Friends & Family of Col. John Allan" reunion in conjunction with the Margaretta Days Festival in Machias, June 8-10, 2007
-- Share Allan family stories and memorabilia
-- Create CD w/ member lineages
--  Guest speakers
-- Visit gravesite on Treat's Island (boat charter)
2.  Rename Treat's Island back to Allan's Island
3.  Locate the lost "Baltimore Journal" used is Allan's memoir

4.
Form the John Allan Center for the Study of the American Revolution in Maine (JACSARM) as a non-profit organization.

Long-Term Goal:

As an ititial consciousness and fundraising project for the JACSARM, we propose the production of a film project based on his story with the working title of Pine Tree Patriots, to be produced by New Eagleland Productions, Christopher Groden, Executive Director.
